All Shampoos Are Not Created Equal!

Not all shampoos are created equal! Our three organic shampoos, Pure Harmony HairbathColor Awakening Hairbath and Hydrating Cream Hairbath, are different from conventional shampoos. Their unique formulation and specific ingredients create a very different cleansing experience. We’re often asked “What differentiates Innersense Organic Beauty shampoos from conventional shampoos?” This a great question and one I love to answer!

It’s simple. The difference is in the wholesomeness and concentration of our 100% clean, pure and beautiful ingredients. To better understand this answer, let’s first review common ingredients found in conventional shampoos, and what to look for when reading labels.

KNOW YOUR INGREDIENTS

Conventional shampoos rely on synthetic ingredients like sulfate and sulfate derivatives. These ingredients are harsh surfactants that work in combination with MEA’s, TEA’s and PEG’s, which are all detergents. These detergents cleanse the hair and scalp, and also create the foamy lather; as they’ve been used for decades, these ingredients have created the impression that shampoos should always lather in this manner. It’s what people have come to expect from a shampoo. Conventional shampoos also tend to be high in water content, thickened by PEG’s and salt ingredients.

These same conventional products contain quaternary ingredients like polyquanterniums, adding slip and shine to the hair. With the addition of resins, silicones and plastics, these ingredients artificially add more shine and volume. How? They coat the hair, creating an illusion of hydration. But as the above ingredients are processed through petrochemicals. They are toxic.

By using shampoos with these ingredients, over time hair will become dehydrated, dull and flat.  Ultimately one will switch shampoos when this happens, and repeat the same experience.

THE INNERSENSE ORGANIC BEAUTY DIFFERENCE

Here is where Innersense Organic Beauty is different from conventional shampoo brands. With the use of a rich, concentrated combination of Certified Organic plant ingredients like coconut, avocado, pumpkin seed, monoi and tamanu oil and shea butter, hair is thoroughly cleansed. Hair and scalp can breathe again, and find its happy, healthy balance. Without the use of synthetic ingredients, hair is free of any film, residues and build up. With Innersense Organic Beauty shampoos, hair is at its cleanest state, which allows natural shine and volume to come through.

HOW TO CLEANSE WITH INNERSENSE ORGANIC BEAUTY SHAMPOO

Pour a five pence piece amount of Pure Harmony,  Color Awakening Hairbath or Hydrating Cream Hairbath into your palm and emulsify in hands (With longer hair, start with a larger amount). Apply to hair, and start shampooing at the scalp. Our 100% pure formula might not lather like the conventional shampoo you’re used to (remember, no synthetic fillers!), so hair may feel a bit different. You may feel a more natural texture as there is no longer a silky film left behind, but your hair will be amazingly clean and able to breathe again. Remember to work the hairbath into the scalp, massaging away buildup, oil and sebum. First-time users may even want to shampoo twice. Rest assured our ingredients specifically add moisture to keep hair nourished and healthy, instead of cosmetically masking damage which actually dehydrates hair over time.

After shampooing, we recommend following with 1 to 2 pumps of either Pure Inspiration Daily Conditioner, Color Radiance Daily Conditioner or Hydrating Cream Conditioner . All are packed with powerful ingredients to replenish hair with vital nutrients, proteins and moisture.  The result leaves hair feeling full of shine, volume and hydrated.  For additional moisture, spritz Sweet Spirit Leave In Conditioner on hair.

Clean. Pure and Beautiful

Because Joanne and I founded Innersense Organic Beauty on our lifestyle values, we created all of our products with intentional thought and care for each ingredient used.  It’s this care and awareness for health and the environment differentiating clean, pure and beautiful Innersense Organic Beauty shampoos from conventional shampoos. I am just doing the 14day detox and same time moving slowly to curly girl method. Oh my I think I have washed my hair with only Innersense for over a week now and it has been my 3rd or 4th wash this morning and wow! My hair felt so nice when shampooing, can feel that finally all the gunk from build up is leaving my hair and shampoo felt great. After conditioning my hair is shiny and bouncy and my curls are looking better than before! Still have a week to go into the detox but I am already delighted with the results! Thank you so much! <3 So happy also my local retailer Twistbe recommended this to me!

For the record I have fine, wavy hair with blonde highlights and I use the Inner harmony shampoo and conditioner as well as Sweet Spirit leave in cond.

Hello, I have a question 🙂 I’m about to start the 14-day detox and I was wondering if we should only use the shampoo, conditioner and leave-in conditioner, or if we can use other Innersense products as well?

I have the -I create volume- and the hydrating hair masque too 🙂 My hair is going through a really bad period after using devacurl, so I just want to make sure I get it right. Thank you!!

      Hi Fey,

So excited for you! We can’t wait for you to fall in love with your hair again with Innersense Organic Beauty clean hair care! If you are beginning the 14 day detox it’s absolutely ok to use our styling products at the same time. It’s important that you don’t use other brands products as this would not be detoxing the hair, but only keeping the hair in the state it is in.

Be sure to cleanse and conditioner with Innersense and only use Innersense styling products to finish your look!

      Thank You!

Hello, I have two questions 🙂

I have been using Kérastase products (shampoo, conditioner, masque) for a year now. However, I have decided to change to Innersense. Since I have wavy/curly hair, which is dry and opaque, I decided to buy the hydrating products (Hydrating Cream Hairbath, Hydrating Cream Conditioner, Hydrating Hair Masque) and The Quiet Calm Curl Control.

Before I use the products, I thought of washing my hair with a deep cleansing shampoo to remove all the silicone (O&M Haircare, Original Detox Cleanse Shampoo). On the ThinkDirtyApp it is rated with 5. I would probably use it once. Should I keep my hands off it and start right away with Innersense?

My second question is, whether or not I can still use pure coconut oil once a week as overnight masque?

    • Innersense Organic Beauty says:

      Hi Mery,
Thank you for your comment and all great questions! We just came out with our newest product called Detox Hair Mask which will be perfect for you. Detox Hair Mask removes buildup and residue from conventional products and helps you jumpstart your detox process with clean beauty. I would use the Detox Hair Mask in replace of the deep cleansing shampoo and then continue to use Detox Hair Mask every month. We are rated 0 on ThinkDirty App so always recommend clean products with a rating of 0 like us. I wouldn’t recommend using pure coconut oil, as that might cause more buildup and be too heavy for your hair and waves. Try using our Hydrating Hair Mask which contains the perfect amount of pure coconut oil as well as pure Shea butter, Tamanu, and flax seed. Hope this helps! Sending you lots of hair love!

Hello :0) Just starting the detox challenge. I have damaged bleached hair which is toned and just wanted to ask if the detox mask and scalp scrub are colour safe? I don’t want to risk stripping out my toner and ending up with yellow brassy hair

    Thank you

    • Innersense Organic Beauty says:

Hi Mandy! Thank you so much for your comment. We are excited to hear that you are starting the Detox Challenge and on your clean hair care journey with us. All of our products are color safe but with the Detox Hair Mask, we recommend you use the product right before a color treatment or a few washes after a new color treatment. Hope this helps! Sending you lots of hair love!
