How Conscious Hair Care Chemistry Uses Ingredients From Mother Earth

Our unwavering commitment to clean, pure and beautiful hair care is reflected in every aspect of every product, each formulated with the highest intention and purity. Every ingredient is sourced from the earth, harvested seasonally and ethically and selected based on the highest grade of purity. The ingredients chosen for our products are equally as important as how they are processed. There is also a conscious choice to leave a number of ingredients out of our formulas, too.

HERE’S WHAT YOU CAN COUNT ON

• Ingredients straight from earth, grown organically and sustainably, without synthetics. Each is ethically harvested and sourced from trusted, radically transparent plantations, orchards and farms from around the world.

• Formulations developed through conscious chemistry. Our formulas are cold-pressed and distilled, never adulterated or ethoxylated, to preserve purity.

• Formulations free of phthalates, ethoxylates, sulfates, silicones, 1,4 dioxane, parabens, petro compounds, propylene and butylene glycol, PEG, MEA, TEA, MIA, EDTA artificial dyes, synthetic fragrances and more.

• Formulations free of any ingredients hidden in “proprietary blends” or “complexes.” We’ll never use the word “proprietary” to disguise an ingredient! There’s no need to when all of our fragrance comes naturally from earth itself. 

• High concentration, emollient-rich formulations undiluted by excess water. On average, our products contain 45% water, compared to traditional over-the-counter products with an average of 75% percent water. 

• Cruelty-free and non-GMO formulations, kind to our animal friends and the earth.

Silicones, resins, plastics and other synthetics that add a slick coating or a slippery feel will never be found in any Innersense Organic Beauty product. These ingredients found in traditional hair care products deliver the “illusion” of hair health and shine. But over time, those are the exact ingredients that build up and create dull, dry and unloved hair.

As the European Union upholds stringent safety standards for cosmetics and personal care products (much more so than the US!), we meet its labeling requirements and list naturally occurring allergens within our products. While allergens are naturally occurring compounds from natural oils, this disclosure is only required in the EU at this time. It offers utmost transparency to our USA customers as well and puts our radical transparency promise put to work.

Allergens are denoted on our bottles with a † symbol following a particular ingredient. This symbol indicates that this ingredient is a natural component of essential oils.
